The goal of the Citrix Remote Desktop is to allow employees to greatly increase their productivity by providing remote access to the familiar desktop environment. Citrix states on its website that this, in turn, improves morale, employee retention and work flexibility. In addition, the desktop comes with strict security and encryption measures to ensure that employee data is sufficiently protected.
The Citrix Remote Desktop has met with positive reviews from online electronics review sites. PCMag rated it a 3.5 out of 5, noting its simple interface, ease of set up, and convenient gesture shortcuts. No1Reviews.com rated it a 5 out of 5, praising its high performance and easy-to-use system that works on a wide range of devices while still offering an array of useful features, such as being able to swap files between machines. However, both reviewers criticized the software for sometimes needing a lengthy amount of time to initiate an action and bemoaned the lack of multitasking options.
