Activate a Boost Mobile compatible phone on BoostMobile.com's activation page by entering the device's ESN number or IMEI. After entering a valid ESN you may choose to bring an existing number to your Boost Mobile account or choose a new phone number for the line.
To use the Boost Mobile network, an active service plan is required. Plans are available in daily and monthly packages offering varying amounts of talk time, text messaging and mobile data without a contract. Smartphones on Boost Mobile require a data plan to use features and apps that utilize an Internet connection.
A device's ESN is a string of numbers, letters or a combination of both located on the device's packaging or on the device itself, usually behind the battery. A clean ESN is required to activate a device on Boost Mobile. A device may be blacklisted if it has been reported as stolen or is registered to an account that has an unpaid balance.
Phones eligible for activation on Boost Mobile must operate using the CDMA radio standard. Select models of Sprint phone are eligible for activation on Boost Mobile but may not be able to use all of the network's features. Boost Mobile branded phones purchased on Boost's official website and at Boost Mobile authorized retailers are guaranteed to activate on the Boost Mobile network.
