Access Apple's iCloud by creating an Apple ID and password, downloading the Microsoft version of the program for Windows 7 or Windows 8, and signing into iCloud. The iCloud program saves data and programs at remote locations to save storage memory on your home computer.
- Download iCloud on iOS devices
Before installing iCloud on a Windows computer, you must set up an iCloud account on an iOS device or Macintosh computer. Create an Apple ID and password on the iOS device, and use that login information when you download the Windows version.
- Click Download Now
Choose Download Now and follow the program's instructions for Windows 7 or Windows 8. Apple's iCloud program lets you access documents, files and photos on whatever device the program is downloaded.
- Sign into iCloud
Access your iCloud account after downloading the software. Choose your services such as iCloud Drive, photos, calendars and Internet bookmarks. Set up automatic downloads that save new files when you add them in iCloud programs.
- Share programs among many devices
Drag documents, videos, photos and files into your iCloud folder on the Windows PC. Share files among devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macintosh computers and Windows devices. The basic service provides up to 250 gigabytes of storage, and a meter shows you how much iCloud storage your files use cumulatively.
