The State of Georgia Common Point of Access to Social Services website, or COMPASS, is accessible from GA.gov by clicking the Applying for Food Stamps link under the Popular Topics heading on the right of the home page. The Georgia COMPASS link under the What You Should Know heading directs users to the Compass Web page.
Operated by the Georgia Department of Human Services, the Compass website allows users to determine eligibility for food stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Medicaid, child care and PeachCare for Kids. Individuals can also check for eligibility to receive Women, Infant and Children benefits, as well as energy assistance, child support services, housing assistance, aging services, and mental health and substance abuse services. Community services block grant funding eligibility information is also available.
Compass also allows users to apply for certain benefit programs, including food stamps, Medicaid, Child Care and Parent Services and PeachCare for Kids. Additionally, individuals who submitted online applications can use Compass to check the status of the application.
Current benefit recipients can use Compass to view information about current accounts. Additionally, users can renew benefits and report changes on Compass. Benefit recipients who created a username and password to apply for benefits must create a new username and password to manage benefits.
