The Samsung Galaxy S6, the Apple iPhone 5C and the Microsoft Lumia 640 are 4G smartphones that are compatible with Cricket Wireless, as of July 2015. Other compatible phones include Android smartphones manufactured by HTC, LG, ZTE, Motorola and Nokia.
Compatible Samsung phones include the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S4 and the less expensive Galaxy Grand Prime. The full line of Nokia 4G smartphones are also compatible, including the Lumia 635 and the Lumia 530.
The LG Optimus L70 is a compatible 4G smart phone that features a 1.2-GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera with video and the QSlide feature, which allows users to open three applications simultaneously. The Apple iPhone 5C features an A6 chip, a 4-inch Retina display and an 8-megapixel camera for high definition photos and videos. Other iPhone models may also be used, provided they meet Cricket's compatibility requirements.
Cricket Wireless also allows customers to bring their own 4G phones to be activated on the Cricket network. For compatibility, the phone must be unlocked and able to be activated on a GSM network, not a CDMA network. To activate these phones, customers must pay $9.99 plus tax for a Cricket SIM card and access to Cricket's 4G network, as of July 2015.
