The "Street Fighter" series features many female fighters. Chun-Li and Cammy were the first females to appear in the games, and Rant Lifestyle ranks them both among the 25 greatest "Street Fighter" characters ever.
Chun-Li was not only the first female street fighter but also the first female to appear in any one-on-one fighting game. She is an Interpol officer and expert martial artist of Chinese nationality. Her name is Mandarin, meaning “spring beauty.” Her most famous attack is the Hyakuretsukyaku, popularly called the "lightning kick." In this move, she quickly kicks her opponent repeatedly from a leaning stand. Chun-Li made her first appearance in “Street Fighter II” in 1991.
Cammy, the second female character to appear on the series, became a part of the "Street Fighter" games in 1993. "Street Fighter" introduced Cammy as a part of four new challengers in “Super Street Fighter II.” Of English nationality, Cammy is an MI6 operative for the British government, and her nickname is Killer Bee. Cammy fights in the Shadaloo style.
