Hulk Hogan was synonymous with wrestling and probably achieved more notoriety outside of the sport than any other star of the era. Born Terry Gene Boliea, he became internationally known for his body slam of the 520-pound Andre The Giant in 1987. Outside of the ring, he garnered roles in several movies and television shows, including "Rocky III," "The A-Team," "Suburban Commando," "Mr. Nanny" and "Santa with Muscles." He also has had his own reality television show "Hogan Knows Best" and brief stints in hosting and music.
Rowdy Roddy Piper was the wrestling Scotsman known for wearing a kilt in his matches. Although not as successful outside of the ring as Hulk Hogan, he appeared in several movies and television shows, including an episode of "The A-Team" with Hogan.
Jimmy Superfly Snuka was known as a Fijian wrestler with a signature closing move in which he scaled to the top of the turnbuckle and launched himself high in the air, spread eagle and came crashing down on his opponents to end the match. He gained notoriety on Sept. 2, 2015, when police charged him with a murder he allegedly committed in 1983 during his WWF glory years.Learn more about Wrestling
