Cheerleaders should wear comfortable clothing such as tee shirts and shorts made of microfiber that pull sweat and moisture away from the skin along with a pair of cheerleading or tennis shoes with cushioning and support. Cheerleaders should also wear a sturdy sports bra and bring running shoes to practice.
An additional pair of running shoes and a form-fitting pair of socks may be needed for conditioning workouts. Avoid tight clothing as it can draw in moisture during practice. When preparing for practice, cheerleaders should pull their hair into a ponytail away from the face, and remove any jewelry or makeup.
