T.J. Oshie played college hockey at the University of North Dakota from 2004 to 2008 and was a member of the U.S. World Juniors team in the 2005-2006 season. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 2005 and began playing for the team during the 2008-2009 season. As of 2014, he has played his entire professional career with the Blues and is signed with them through the 2016-2017 season.
He has also been a member of the U.S. men's national hockey team in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. Oshie competed in the Ice Hockey World Championships with the team during the first three of those years and helped the team to a bronze medal in 2013. In 2014, Oshie competed in the Winter Olympic Games with the team in Sochi and gained national attention when he scored four times in a shootout to win a qualifying game against host team Russia.
