Michael Jordan completed his bachelor's degree in cultural geography. Jordan returned to the University of North Carolina to complete the degree after leaving during his junior year to join the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association.
Jordan was a student at UNC but was drafted by the Bulls in 1984. He was a third pick of the first round in a draft that included such future stars as Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley and John Stockton. In his first season, Jordan averaged more than 28 points per season and was selected as Rookie of the Year. He returned to college in 1986 and completed his bachelor of arts degree in geography.
