Styles of concealment holsters include hip holsters, inside-the-waistband holsters and shoulder holsters. Hip holsters, which ride outside the pants on a belt, are the most popular style. Pancake hip holsters sandwich the gun between two pieces of material. They keep the gun close to the body for better concealment.
Inside-the-waistband holsters are attached to the belt with loops and are worn inside the pants. They require pants that have a larger waist size than usual and are considered the most concealable type of holster. Shoulder holsters are crossdraw holsters. They are best for larger guns and require wearing an open front jacket.
