Sheamus, the performing name of Irish professional wrestler Stephen Farrelly, is from Dublin, Ireland. Born Jan. 28, 1978, Farrelly speaks fluent Irish, a language he learned while attending the Scoil Caoimhin Primary and Coláiste Mhuire Secondary Schools.
A former IT worker and nightclub security guard, Farrelly debuted his professional-wrestling character Sheamus O'Shaunessy in 2004 in the Irish Whip Wrestling school. He worked in Irish, British and American developmental wrestling leagues over the next five years and made his first appearance on World Wrestling Entertainment on June 30, 2009. As of October 2014, he has won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship once, the WWE Championship twice and the WWE U.S. Championship twice.
