The first play of Super Bowl XLVIII was a botched snap by Manny Ramirez that went into the end zone; the Broncos recovered the fumble, but the Seahawks scored a safety on the play. The Seahawks held momentum from that point on, scoring 36 unanswered points. This included a kickoff return touchdown by Percy Harvin and an interception returned for a touchdown by eventual Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith. The Broncos' only score of the game was a passing touchdown from Peyton Manning to Demaryius Thomas with a two-point conversion.
