On day one of the 2014 WTA Indian Wells tennis tournament, the women's schedule consisted of Davis versus Azarenka followed by Halep versus Nara. The men's schedule was filled with matches between Bautista Agut and Johnson, Matosevic and Klahn and Lopez versus Sela.
As the schedule progressed and knocked more players out of the competition, day three saw the first match between Li Na and Jie Zing, followed by Lukas Rosol playing against Andy Murray. The games ended for the day with Stanislas playing against Ivo Karlovic.
Day three's schedule began with a match between Roberto Bautista Agut playing against Tomas Berdych on the men's team and Yaroslava Shvedova playing Caroline Wozniacki. The last match of the day was Annika Beck playing against Agnieszka Radwanska.
During the quarterfinals, Gasquet played Karlovic, Young played Sock and the final match of the day was a doubles match between Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares against Marcin Matkowski and Nenad Zimonjic.
