NBA point guard J.J. Barea, originally from Puerto Rico, is 6 feet tall and weighs 178 pounds. As of August 2014, Barea plays basketball for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Barea went to college at Northeastern University and was an undrafted free agent in the 2006 NBA draft. He was signed by the Dallas Mavericks and went on to play with them for five seasons. Barea was a member of the 2011 Mavericks team that won the NBA championship. He was also a member of the Puerto Rican national basketball team that won gold medals in both the Central American and Caribbean Games and the Pan American Games.
