Founded in Springfield, Missouri in 1971, Bass Pro Shops operates more than 90 retail stores across the United States and Canada. The company's biggest flagship stores are operated under the name Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World.
Bass Pro Shops made headlines when it opened a 535,000 square-foot store inside the Memphis Pyramid, which was previously a concert venue and sports arena. The Memphis location, which is the company's largest retail store, also features two restaurants, a hotel, bowling alley, indoor pistol range and a cypress swamp with live alligators.
Many Bass Pro Shops locations feature the company's Islamorada Fish Company restaurant. Five locations also include Uncle Buck's Fishbowl and Grill, which consists of a 12-lane bowling alley, as well as a full service bar, restaurant and billiards in the Black Widow Billiards room.
