The Mexican National Futbol team roster often fluctuates between tournaments, but the most recent roster for international friendlies was announced by Miguel Herrera after the 2014 World Cup. The roster currently includes a total of 22 players with Mexican backgrounds from clubs and teams all over the world.
The current roster was set for the friendly matches with the Netherlands and Belarus in November of 2014. The roster includes goalkeepers Guillermo Ochoa and Alfredo Talavera, defenders Julio Domínguez, Oswaldo Alanís, Miguel Ángel Herrera, Diego Reyes, Miguel Ponce, Luis Venegas, Adrián Aldrete, George Corral, Hugo Rodríguez and Paul Aguilar, midfielders Héctor Herrera, Jesús Manuel Corona, Jonathan dos Santos, Arturo González, Andrés Guardado and José Juan Vázquez, and forwards Raúl Jiménez, Giovani dos Santos, Carlos Vela and Javier Hernández.
The team is coached by Miguel Herrera, who was named interim coach in 2013 and promoted to head coach when the team qualified for the 2014 World Cup. Some notable names that were left off of this roster but were included on the World Cup Roster are Rafa Marquez and Raul Jimenez, with Marquez supposedly just getting time to settle with his new club team in Italy while Jimenez's national team future is still unsure.
