National Football League quarterback Peyton Manning is married to Ashley Thompson. Their wedding was on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2001 and, as of 2014, they have two children.
Denver Broncos quarterback Manning met Thompson the summer before his freshman year of college, and she has remained his strongest supporter ever since. The neighbors of Thompson's parents introduce the pair while Manning was staying there while on a recruitment trip. She is a year older than him, and has a degree in marketing and finance from the University of Virginia. She has used this degree to become a successful investor in real estate development. She also uses her skills to co-manage their family's charity and participate in several others. They established the PeyBack Foundation as their first financial decision from days with the Indianapolis Colts. The foundation organizes events, activities and role-modeling opportunities for disadvantaged children who have survived abusive homes.
The couple welcomed twins into the family in 2011. Named Marshall and Mosley, Manning claims his son and daughter are the "light of his life" and he credits both his kids and his wife for keeping him in the game. Previous injuries have made him consider retiring from the game, but Denver Bronco fans can thank his wife for reminding him that he is still an athlete.
