Notre Dame's first game of the season is usually the first week of September, and all the following games are exactly one week after the previous one. The Notre Dame football team always has one bye week, but continues its week-to-week game schedule the following week. The Shamrock Series game, which is played every year, allows Notre Dame fans in different locations to come together and partake not only in the football games but in other activities including a pregame concert and spiritual events. The last Shamrock series game was against Boston College in Fenway Park on Nov. 21, 2015.
