Despite a 19-year Super Bowl drought, the Dallas Cowboys still have the largest, most loyal fan base in the country, earning them the nickname "America's Team." The Cowboys are followed by the New England Patriots and New York Jets.
In addition to being the team of choice in nearly every Texas county, the Cowboys are also the favorite in almost every county in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas, and it is the most popular team in a number of counties across several other states, according to a social media study obtained by NFL.com. A fan equity study by Emory Sports Marketing Analytics revealed that Cowboys followers are also most likely to support their team financially.
The Cowboys' last Super Bowl appearance (and victory) came following the 1995 season, when the team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17 in Super Bowl XXX.
