Tiger Woods lifts a maximum weight of over 300 pounds on the bench press. He routinely does reps at 190 pounds, but as of 2014, the maximum weight he has ever benched is 315 pounds.
Woods incorporates weightlifting as part of his overall training regimen. For strength training, he generally lifts 80 percent of his maximum in a routine that includes bench press, shoulder press, and various types of squats and thrusts. He performs six to eight repetitions at the 80 percent level, in addition to a workout routine that includes 30 to 40 minutes of cardio training, as well as various exercises performed to strengthen his core.
