What Is the Mascot for the Denver Broncos?

According to the Denver Broncos website, the NFL team has two horse mascots. The first mascot, Thunder, is a live, purebred Arabian gelding. The second, Miles, is an actor wearing a bronco outfit.

The gelding portraying Thunder celebrates his 10-year anniversary in 2014. He took over the position in 2004 upon the retirement of the original Thunder. Thunder was introduced in 1993 and has traveled to each of the Broncos' last three Super Bowl appearances.

The team has created an elaborate creation story for Miles. It is said he was born in a flash of heat and electricity. Miles loves attending the games and meeting fans. Miles is also an active member of social media and maintains a Twitter account. Miles makes personal appearances upon request.
