Teams with two or more wins over FCS schools must win an additional game for each FCS win. As of 2014, there are 70 bowl slots available to Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams. While meeting the win requirement does not guarantee placement, when less than 70 teams meet the requirements, a six-tier tie-breaking process is used to determine the remaining berths.
