As of 2014, LeBron James has won four NBA Most Valuable Player awards. James won the awards for his performances during the 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. He won two with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the other two while playing for the Miami Heat.
James is the 10th player in history to win the award in back-to-back years. He joined Bill Russell and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players to win four regular-season MVP awards before reaching the age of 30.
Additionally, James was named the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons while leading the Heat to a pair of titles.
