As of 2014, television personality John Madden is alive and well. The 78 year-old former Raiders head coach and NFL broadcaster resides in Pleasanton, Calif.
At just 32 years old, Madden was named Oakland's head coach—the third-youngest coach in NFL history at the time. Madden coached the Raiders from 1969 to 1978, amassing a 103-32-7 record, seven division titles and a Super Bowl XI victory. Madden signed with CBS in 1980, before landing at Fox in 1994 and later joining Al Michaels for ABC's "Monday Night Football." Over the course of his broadcasting career, Madden garnered 13 Emmy awards for his work.
