A rider’s height is usually listed on the left column of the sizing table. Inseams are listed across the chart, and the recommended frame size is listed where the two numbers intersect. The inseam length is not the same length as clothing inseams. To get the appropriate measurement, standing without shoes on and legs spread shoulder-wide, measure from the crotch to the floor.

Some charts include the top tube length. To compute that length, add torso and arm length, divide that number by two, and subtract six. This gives the ideal length between handlebars and saddle. Other charts include crank length.
