The scoreboard at United Center, the arena where the Chicago Blackhawks play home games, displays the score, game time and other statistics. There is a large video screen displaying the action on the ice above the scoreboard.
The Blackhawks' score, or amount of goals scored, is displayed on the right side of the scoreboard, while the away team's score is displayed on the left side. The period being played and the time remaining is shown in the center of the scoreboard. The timeouts a team has left is displayed on the scoreboard's bottom row, between the team's score and the time markers. A team's number of shots is displayed on the scoreboard's top row above the timeout marker.
Because United Center's scoreboard is also used for the Chicago Bulls basketball team, some statistics normally visible on a hockey scoreboard are not displayed on the Blackhawks' scoreboard. Most notably, the players serving penalties and how much penalty time is remaining are not visible on the United Center scoreboard.
