As of 2015, Dan Carter is the highest-paid rugby player in the world, after agreeing to an annual salary of 1.3 million British pounds with the French club Racing Metro in 2014. Carter is known for his history with the All Blacks.
Widely believed to be among the world's best rugby players, Carter was born in raised in Southbridge, New Zealand and has spent most of his career playing for the Christchurch Crusaders and New Zealand's national club, the All Blacks. For the All Blacks, he has played 102 caps and scored 1,457 points as of the 2014 season.
Outside of rugby, Carter is married to field hockey player Honor Carter and can be seen worldwide as a billboard model for the underwear company Jockey.
