According to Fur Fish and Game, the first Hawbaker's General Trapping Supply Catalog was developed in 1940 by S. Stanley Hawbaker. As of 2015, the supply catalog is still published by Edwin Hawbaker, son of Stanley Hawbaker.

Classical versions of the catalogs are sold by private sellers on eBay. As of August 2015, trapping catalogs from the late 1940s through the 1970s are being sold by third-party sellers.

S. Stanley Hawbaker also produced a 58-page booklet called "Trapping and Trailing" in 1938, and only 500 copies were produced. They are difficult to find and have become collector's items. Hawbaker also produced Trapping North American Furbearers after 1941, which is available on Amazon.com, as of 2015.
