In 1999, Golden Eagle Archery joined the North American Archery Group, which Escalade Sports then purchased. Escalade used the already well-known Bear Archery label to sell their products and stopped manufacturing Golden Eagle products.
Golden Eagle Archery, registered in 1988, was a company that manufactured and sold bows for hunting. After a period of poor sales and management changes, Golden Eagle was dissolved and incorporated into the North American Archery Group in 1999. The North American Archery Group, based out of Florida, also went through a period of poor sales and declared bankruptcy in 2003. Later that year Escalade Sports purchased North American Archery Group. Escalade Sports stopped the manufacture of all archery products except Bear Archery, which became the dominating name in Escalade Sport's archery department.
