Good summer field hockey camps include Revolution Camps, Nike field hockey camps and United Sports Camps. All are led by qualified coaches and work to increase the skill level and teamwork of the campers.
Revolution Field Hockey Camps use directors who are NCAA champions, coaches from championship high schools and Olympians. The camp is partnered with organizations such as the United States Field Hockey Association and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The camp incorporates drills, development stations, team bonding activities and dorm lodging. It works to improve skills such as dribbling, passing and receiving, ball control, defensive tackling and positioning.
Nike field hockey camps exist as overnight camps, extended day camps, day camps and team camps. These camps are located in various places around the country, including California, Connecticut and Virginia. Overnight camps are for ages 10 to 18, and campers are grouped based on age and ability. The overnight camps include a minimum of six hours of instruction, with campers staying nearly a week.
The staff of the United Sports Summer Camp is made up of both national and international field hockey champions. The camp is open to school and club teams, individuals and goalkeepers. The camp offers specialized goalkeeper trainings with an emphasis on goal stopping techniques and footwork.
