Some bike games that can be played by either girls or boys include "Zig-Zag Course" and "Figure Eight." A bike game geared more toward boys is "Paper Boy."
To play "Zig-Zag Course," the moderator uses chalk, paint or tape to outline a bicycle course that has four or five 90-degree turns. When a kid tries the course, he loses one point each time his wheels touch the course outline. For the "Figure Eight" game, the moderator draws a large figure eight on the ground. Like the "Zig-Zag Course," each kid loses a point whenever his wheels touch the course outline. "Paper Boy" requires 5 to 10 large targets, such as laundry baskets. Each kid then tries to throw a newspaper into the target as he rides by.
