The Gonzaga men’s basketball team plays a total of 31 games during the regular season of 2014-15. Of the 31 games, 20 games for the Zags will be played in the McCartney Athletic Center, its home court, and 11 games on the road.
Within the West Coast Conference in 2014-15, Gonzaga plays a total of 18 conference games. Every team in the conference plays each of the other nine twice, once at home and once on the road. Conference games consist of BYU, San Diego, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Pepperdine, St. Mary’s, Pacific and Loyola Marymount. Gonzaga’s non-conference schedule in 2014-15 accounts for the other 13 regular season games and features early match-ups against several power conference teams including at Arizona, at UCLA, Georgia, Washington St. and St. Johns. The Zags also play at home against Memphis at the halfway mark of the conference schedule.
Other early non-conference opponents for the season include St. Joseph’s, Sacramento State, Southern Methodist, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas Southern, Cal Poly and Division II St. Thomas Aquinas, all at home. Gonzaga will also have the opportunity play in the West Coast Tournament at the regular season’s end, and with a successful season, the team could play in either the NCAA Tournament or the NIT Tournament.
