To get a Golf Passport in Myrtle Beach, applicants must submit either a printed or online application form from the MyrtleBeachGolfPassport.com's Clubhouse page, as of 2016. To become a Golf Passport holder, applicants are required to have ownership of a property or residence in counties that are eligible to participate, including Williamsburg, Dorchester, Charleston, Berkeley and Brunswick. All applications sent through physical mail must include a proof of property ownership from the applicant.
Myrtle Beach Golf Passport holders receive discounted rates at 80 different courses in the Grand Strand and Myrtle Beach area. Other exclusive benefits of the Myrtle Beach Golf Passport are access to prized golf tournaments and special discounts and deals at various dining establishments in the area. Specials are made available daily through the golf passport system, and it allows advance bookings up to 48 hours prior to each reservation. Golf Passport tournaments are available throughout the year at various golf courses and offer more than $45,000 in available monetary prizes.
The Myrtle Beach Golf Passport system was first made available by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association in 1993 and is open to eligible residents living in qualifying areas of North and South Carolina.
