Reggie Collier, Rodney Peete, Randall Cunningham, Anthony Wright and Quincy Carter are all former African-American quarterbacks who played for the Dallas Cowboys. Each started at least one game for the Cowboys during their NFL careers.
Collier was the first, starting one game for the club during the 1986 season, with journeyman Rodney Peete also starting one game for the team in 1994. Along with Wright, the former Pro Bowler Cunningham appeared briefly as a starter in 2000 after concussions sidelined Hall of Famer Troy Aikman. Wright also appeared in the 2001 season. Quincy Carter appeared as both a full- and part-time starter from 2001 through 2003.
