The Traxxas Stampede XL-5 is a remote-controlled monster truck that features waterproof electronics, a fiber-composite chassis, high ground clearance and telescoping drive shafts. The truck uses a TQ 2.4 GHz transmitter, which permits multiple units to be raced without frequency conflicts. The transmitter runs on four AA batteries, while the truck runs on a rechargeable NiMH battery.
Traxxas produced its first R/C Ready-to-Run car in 1986. The company manufactures nitro and electric cars, trucks, boats and helicopters as well as their accessories.
