Anderson Silva, Dan Henderson, Georges St. Pierre and Randy Couture are among the most successful and best-known MMA fighters. Other well-known MMA fighters include Jon Jones, Chuck Liddell and Rashad Evans. Since 2011, perhaps the most well-known MMA fighter is Ronda Rousey.
As of January 2013, Anderson Silva was described by Bleacher Report as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time. In his career, during which he amassed a record of 23-3, Silva won both the Cage Rage Middleweight Championship and the UFC Middleweight Championship. Although the loser in three matches, Silva remains undefeated since making his debut as a fighter with UFC in 2006.
Couture and Liddell have translated their success as fighters into appearances on mainstream television. Both men have appeared on the reality television show "Dancing With the Stars." In Season 9, Liddell was the fifth "star" voted off of the show, while viewers eliminated Couture in the third week of the Fall 2014 season.
As of May 2015, Rousey has a career record of 14-0. In her four years as a professional fighter, publications have described Rousey as the most dominant mixed-martial-arts fighter in the history and have named her the most dominant athlete alive. Because of Rousey, UFC created a women's division in 2012, of which she is the bantamweight champion.
