What Are the Dimensions of an NFL Football Field?

The NFL's field of play is 100 yards long and 53 1/3 yards wide, as of 2015. It is flanked by end zones 10 yards deep. The entire field is surrounded by a 6-foot border.

The hashmarks are 70 feet, 9 inches from each sideline. The conversion line is 2 yards from the goal line and centered between the hashmarks.

The goal posts are positioned in the back of both end zones. The crossbar is 10 feet high, 18 1/2 feet across, and the uprights extend at least 30 feet from the crossbar. Ribbons measuring 4 inches wide and 42 inches long are attached to the top of both uprights.
