An official flag football game is played on a field that is 60 yards long by 30 yards wide and has first-down markers every 15 yards and end zones 7 yards long. The total length of the field, including both end zones, is 74 yards.
The offense takes possession of the ball at the 5-yard line and has four downs to advance the ball 15 yards for a new set of downs. The distance between the goal line and the spot of the ball after three consecutive first downs is a maximum of 10 yards. When a touchdown is scored, the ball is placed at the 3-yard line for an extra point conversion.
