What Are Some Different Cal South State Tournaments?

The Coronado Holiday Cup, Arsenal Winter Classic and Beach Soccer Championships are among the state tournaments available to teams registered with the California South Soccer Association, also known as Cal South. Tournaments are conducted at five levels depending on age, skill level and affiliation.

The Coronado Holiday Cup in Coronado is conducted in December, as of 2015. It is open to under-8 through under-13 boys' and girls' teams affiliated with the U.S. Soccer Federation. The Arsenal Winter Classic in Murrieta is played in January, as of 2016. USSF-member boys' and girls' teams in the under-8 through under-14 categories are eligible for the tournament.

The Beach Soccer Championships in Oceanside occur in May, as of 2016. These championships are available for under-8 through under-19 boys' and girls' teams that are considered small-sided teams.

The New Year's Kick Off All-Star tournament in Escondido is played in January for recreational youth clubs that are USSF members. The Irvine Summer Classic is played in May for USSF-member under-8 through under-15 boys' and girls' teams.

The indoor West Coast Futbol Classic is played at several locations for domestic boys' and girls' teams that are USSF-affiliated and international teams affiliated with the Federation of International Football Associations, the world governing body of soccer.

The California South Soccer Association conducts and sanctions youth recreation and competitive level tournaments as well as indoor and beach soccer.
