Michael Jordan entered the world of business ownership in 1997 when he opened Michael Jordan's Steakhouse in New York's Grand Central Terminal. He also holds a majority ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets.
Though Michael Jordan continues to make the majority of his income from endorsement deals (particularly with Nike), he also continues to operate his New York steakhouse, which has expanded to locations in Chicago and Connecticut. The company also operates a Michael Jordan Steaks brand, which sells steaks and grilling accessories through its website. Jordan became majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) in 2010, and is the team's chairman. The Charlotte Bobcats became the Charlotte Hornets in June 2014.
