Where Did Kirk Herbstreit Play Football?

Kirk Herbstreit played football for Ohio State from 1989 to 1993. He captained the 1992 Ohio State Buckeyes to a 13-13 tie against the University of Michigan.

Kirk Herbstreit was starting quarterback and co-captain for the Ohio State football team during his senior year of college. His father, Jim Herbstreit, had also held the position of co-captain when he attended the university in 1960.

Kirk Herbstreit first gained notoriety when he was named Gatorade Player of the Year while quarterbacking for his high school team in Centerville, Ohio. As of 2015, Herbstreit is a TV personality and college football commentator and has been nominated for three Sports Emmy Awards in 1997, 2005 and 2006.
