Deer hunting season varies among locations, but it generally occurs during the fall and winter. For example, it starts as early as August in some zones and lasts through December in California.
In Georgia, deer hunting season is slightly different depending on the county. In most areas, it extends from September to October as of 2015. In Texas, it starts a little later. For example, in El Paso, deer hunting season begins at the end of November and goes through to the middle of December. Different areas also set their own limits as far as what weapons hunters can use and how many deer they can bag.
