On NFL's home page, rosters are accessible by hovering the mouse over the Stats tab and clicking on the By Team Roster link under the Players heading. This directs the NFL fan to a list of links to NFL team rosters. For example, the Arizona Cardinals link directs the fan to a list of players currently on the Cardinals roster. The NFL.com rosters show the player's name, position and jersey number. This site also displays the player's current statistics and his active status.

From Pro-Football-Reference's home page, rosters are accessible by hovering the mouse over the Teams tab and clicking on the team whose roster the fan wants to view. Once the fan is on the team's page, he can scroll down to click on the Starters & Rosters link. Pro-Football-Reference rosters do not show current statistics or active status but do show every player's age, NFL experience, university, draft information and height.

Every NFL team's website is different, but most teams have links to their rosters on their home pages. A team site's roster is usually more bare than the sites covering the entire league. However, these sites have the advantage of showing players on the team's practice squad and injured reserve in addition to its active roster.
