Lib Tech and Marhar Snowboards offer robust custom snowboard design tools for snowboarders looking to create their own boards. Snowboarders and designers choose board shapes, sizes and artwork for custom boards at Lib-Tech.com and MarharSnowboards.com. Other custom snowboard makers include Donek and Monson.
Many different shapes are available to board designers. Traditional and hybrid camber boards pop higher off of jumps and generate more power during turns. Rocker, or "Banana," shaped boards require less effort to turn, but feel softer and less powerful than boards with traditional camber. Lib Tech and Marhar Snowboards both offer multiple hybrid configurations of camber and rocker technologies.
Board designers must consider the length and width of the boards they create. Typically, a right-sized snowboard reaches from the ground to somewhere between a rider's chin and nose. A snowboarder's riding experience suffers if the board is too wide or too narrow; the board should be slightly narrower than length of the rider's foot.
Lib Tech and Donek offer many different styles of artwork for custom boards, but do not allow designers to use their own custom art. Marhar Snowboards and Monson allow designers to upload or send in their own artwork for an even more personalized snowboard.
