The Southeastern Conference began in 1932 and at the time consisted of only 10 original members. Those original members are Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn, Louisiana State, Mississippi and Mississippi State. Since then, the conference has added four new members, including Arkansas and South Carolina in 1991, and most recently Missouri and Texas A&M in 2012.
