Fox and NBC televise every race in NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series and Xfinity Series, including popular races, such as the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600, Brickyard 400 and Ford 400. The Daytona 500 opens the Sprint Cup season and typically earns the highest TV ratings of any race.
In 2013, NBC signed a deal with NASCAR to televise the final 20 races of the 2015 through 2024 NASCAR seasons. FOX shows the first 16 races of each season. This arrangement gives FOX two of the biggest races, the Daytona 500 and Coca-Cola 600. NBC televises all ten races of the Chase for the Sprint Cup that determines the season champion. The networks also split coverage of the Xfinity Series, which is NASCAR's second-biggest series.
