The Collegiate Baseball newspaper poll is the oldest college baseball ranking system in the United States. It has been around since 1959.

In addition to the Collegiate Baseball poll, NCAA.com lists rankings for RPI, the National College Baseball Writers Association, D1Baseball.com, USA Today Coaches' Poll and Baseball America.

In 2015, the top team in the Collegiate Baseball poll was Virginia. Vanderbilt, Florida, TCU and LSU rounded out the top five. Virginia beat Vanderbilt in the College World Series Finals. The sixth through tenth teams in the final poll were Miami, Arkansas, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois and Louisville.

Virginia had been the preseason at number three, behind Vanderbilt and TCU. The Cavaliers were ranked eighth before winning the College World Series.

Virginia actually ranked 21st in the final rating percentage index, or RPI, which takes into account strength of schedule. Miami was No. 1 in RPI, although the Hurricanes ranked sixth in the final Collegiate Baseball poll after being eliminated by Florida. Virginia won two out of three against Florida to advance to the CWS Finals, where the Cavaliers won two of three against Vanderbilt.
