Locate Virginia high school football scores on MaxPreps.com, WashingtonPost.com and VHSL.org. Each website includes results and standings by year for each team that participates in the league.
MaxPreps.com is a national source of high school sports news and statistics. To access high school football scores, click Schedules/Scores under Football at MaxPreps.com. Click Virginia, and select a specific section, division and league to see its scores. MaxPreps.com updates its database of scores every 14 days, so scores may not be available at all times.
At WashingtonPost.com, hover over Sports, and click AllMetSports and Standings. Click Football, and click the desired conference. Select any of the teams in a particular conference to review its most recent scores, past scores and its schedule. There are links to the schools' official websites, news about Virginia high school football, and a list of lead players in rushing, passing and receiving.
VHSL.org is the website of the Virginia High School League. On the homepage, click Standings. Select a sport from the drop-down menu and the year. The Virginia high school football season commences with a first practice that typically occurs toward the end of July or the beginning of August.
The first contest occurs roughly one month later, and the league website posts scores as soon as possible. The name of each school's team on the score report is a link to the team's official website, which includes past scores, standings and schedules.
