Instructions for horseshoe pitching are available on HorseshoePitching.com, as of 2015. The instructions, which are provided by the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association, are a shorter version of those found in "Science at the Stake," a horseshoes book written by former top-ranking horseshoes player Roy W. Smith.
To view the instructions, visit the HorseshoePitching.com home page, and place the cursor over How To. On the drop-down menu that appears, click How To Pitch. The instructions break down pitching technique into sections, including the delivery, pitching grips, finger positions and turns. It recommends players use either the one and one-quarter or one and three-quarter turns, as they are the only turns that work consistently
